7 Sessions on Building Resiliency through Self Care, Earth Care and Future Care
“Our real journey in life is interior: it is a matter of growth, deepening, and of an ever greater surrender to the creative action of love and grace in our hearts”
- Thomas Merton
Join Permaculture Designer and Educator Sybrena Albright and Holistic Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach Diane Johnson for a 7 session workshop series designed to build community, resiliency and a toolkit for sustainable self care and a healthy, abundant lifestyle.
In each of these 7 sessions we will incorporate 3 Zones of Permaculture and focus on integrating them into our daily lifestyle for self care, earth care and future care.
In Zone 00 we cover the Self and the Body which include components of physical, emotional, spiritual and mental experiences of daily living.
In Zone 0 we focus on the home and designing it or modifying it to best support the Self and the Body. This includes our living space that we use every day and night.
In Zone 1 we go into the Garden or Doorstep and work to intentionally cultivate and care for this space daily as it contributes to both our home and our Self and Body.
Join us for the entire 7 sessions or select the ones that are most relevant for you.
Session 1 -
Nourish the Mind - Feed the Soul
Feb. 12 @ 10:00 am
So much of the abundant life that we seek to create already lies within us but is blocked by old beliefs, stress and worry. In this first workshop of the series, we dive into simple and effective tools that we already have access to using our imaginations and our breaths to create a lifestyle rooted in self care and nourishment.
Planning, dreaming, yoga, and breath work.
Skills lab: How to create a self care toolkit and starting 2022 with a focus on looking inward to ourselves; our zone 00.

Food Systems & How They Fuel Us
March 5 @10:00 am
Does eating well, consuming mostly whole foods and eating closer to nature seem unrealistic, expensive and generally hard? It only seems this way because we have grown so far away from our food, where it comes from and how it nourishes us. In this session we cover simple strategies to access good quality foods without stressing your wallet or the clock.
Homesteading Strategies -
May 21 @10:00 am
Have you ever noticed how much stuff we buy that our ancestors used to make? Have you ever considered trying your hand at candle or soap making? Join us for this hands-on workshop where we use some of nature’s best and most simple ingredients to make candles, soaps and beeswax wraps to further support your simplification and naturalization efforts.
Strategies for a Zero Waste Home
Apr. 2 @ 10:00 am
Have you ever really noticed how much you throw away each week? Have you ever wondered how you could reduce the impact that your family has on the environment by reducing waste? In this session we cover ways to produce less waste and enhance your feeling of community by connecting with local farmers and retailers. You will love embarking on this journey with us in our zero waste kitchen challenge with a prize for the winner.
Medicine for the Body, Mind &Soul
June 11 @ 10:00 am
When we look at our lawns and fields, we may just see weeds, but in truth, many of the plants that surround us in our natural environment have an abundance of nutrients and medicine that we can harvest and use in our homes. Join us on a nature walk where we explore local medicinal plants and learn how to use them for great benefit in our own homes.
Celebrating & Community
